Suzanne Treister: HEXEN 2.0 // Lecture with the co-operation of Zavod Projekt Atol and Aksioma
Date: Friday, September 25 at 7PM
Location: Aksioma | Project Space, Resljeva 7 (entrance: Komenskega 18), Ljubljana
Suzanne Treister (born 1958, London) currently lives and works in London. She was a pioneer of digital and web-based art in the early 1990s, developing fictional worlds and international collaborative organisations. Often spanning several years, her projects comprise fantastic reinterpretations of given taxonomies and histories that examine the existence of covert, unseen forces at work in the world, whether corporate, military or paranormal.
Digital Dish will happen at the Aksioma Project Space at the closing of the exhibition of the project HEXEN 2.0. The author Suzanne Treister will tell us all about HEXEN 2.0 (2009-2011), as well as introduce 2 recent projects; Post-Surveillance Art (2014), and HFT The Gardener (2014-15).
This Digital Dish was made possible with the help of Aksioma Institute for Contemporary Art. The Educational and Art Programme of Društvo Ljudmila, Art and Science Laboratory is supported by Ministry of Culture (in coproduction with Projekt Atol Institute) and City Municipality of Ljubljana – Department for Culture.
