Ali Bramwell utilizes performative strategies as one critical tactic embedded within a mixed economy of discursive post-medium practices where materiality and context play equally crucial roles. Performance is understood as an activating or catalyzing tactic within the framework of an installation or sculpture event. Discussing a couple of work examples where kinetic potential is activated by body/ies as mechanic element/s within a larger structural or de-structural goal. Activated sculpture, built or broken, or both.
